Refund policy

MrBMWCoding (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates this website. By placing an order with us, you agree to the terms outlined below. This policy is designed to clearly set expectations and protect both parties.

Eligibility for Returns

Returns will only be considered if all of the following conditions are met:

  • The return request is made within 14 days of delivery
  • The item is unused, uninstalled, unprogrammed, and in original condition
  • The item is returned with all original packaging, accessories, and documentation
  • The item has not been fitted, powered, coded, or modified

We reserve the right to refuse any return that does not meet these conditions.

Non-Returnable & Non-Refundable Items

The following items are strictly non-returnable and non-refundable:

  • Custom or made-to-order products, including custom steering wheels
  • Coding, software, digital products, and installation services
  • Any item that has been installed, attempted to be installed, powered on, or programmed
  • Electrical components once connected to a vehicle
  • Items damaged due to incorrect installation, misuse, or third-party work
  • Items returned incomplete or not in original condition

Steering Wheels (Important)

  • Custom steering wheels are made to order and cannot be cancelled, returned, or refunded once production has begun
  • Pre-made (non-custom) steering wheels may be eligible for return only if unused and uninstalled
  • Any steering wheel that has been fitted or attempted to be fitted is not eligible for return or refund

Compatibility Responsibility

It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure product compatibility with their vehicle before placing an order.

Refunds will not be issued for:

  • Incorrect fitment
  • Vehicle incompatibility
  • Failure to confirm compatibility prior to purchase

Compatibility advice is provided in good faith and does not guarantee suitability unless confirmed in writing by us.

Return Authorisation Process

All returns must be authorised before being sent back.

Please include:

  • Order number
  • Reason for return
  • Clear photos where applicable

Unauthorised returns will not be accepted.

Return Shipping

  • Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer
  • We strongly recommend using a tracked and insured service
  • We are not responsible for lost or damaged return parcels

Shipping Cost Deductions

While we offer free shipping as a goodwill gesture, outbound shipping costs are incurred by us and vary depending on the product’s size, weight, and destination.

If a return or refund is approved:

  • Our actual outbound shipping cost will be deducted from the refund
  • The deducted amount will reflect the real shipping cost incurred for the specific product
  • This applies regardless of whether shipping was charged at checkout

Outbound shipping costs are non-refundable once an order has been dispatched.

Refunds

Once a return has been received and inspected:

  • Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method
  • Refunds may take 5–10 business days to appear, depending on the payment provider
  • We reserve the right to refuse refunds for items returned in unacceptable condition

Faulty or Defective Items

If you believe an item is faulty, you must contact us within 48 hours of delivery with clear photographic or video evidence.

Faults must be verified before any refund or replacement is approved.

This does not cover:

  • Installation errors
  • Vehicle-related faults
  • Coding or programming by third parties
  • Wear and tear or accidental damage

Refused or Undeliverable Orders

If an order is returned due to:

  • Refused delivery
  • Unpaid customs charges
  • Incorrect or incomplete address provided by the customer

A refund may be issued for the value of the goods only, minus outbound and return shipping costs, provided the item is returned in original condition.

If the goods are not returned to us, no refund will be issued.

Cancellations

Orders may be cancelled only before dispatch.

Once an order has been dispatched or production has begun (custom or made-to-order items), cancellations are no longer possible.
